my take: I loved this. I laughed. I cried. I came away a better person. The perfect trifecta for me & my sister.
A small book with big changes for Rhoda. She goes from belief to faith. And This. Girl. Can. Write. I love her vocabulary and her fashionable taste.
If you live in the Holland area you’ll especially enjoy the references to local restaurants and such.
The only thing i didn’t like was the cover. Mennonite in a Little Black Dress had a much better one.
my source: Deborah Sterken came breathless to pilates because she couldn’t put this down … great endorsement! bought it at costco (in hardcover) later that day ~ worth every penny.
my verdict: worth a read.
*UPDATE* I saw Mennonite Meets Mr. Right at Target and got very excited that she’d written another book … not so. It’s Does This Church re-titled. Guess it wasn’t selling well. The cover is better than this one.
I saw this one on the recommendations shelf at the library and picked it up… but had to turn it back in before I got a chance to start it. Good to know you have one, because I do want to read it! Especially after this review.

Laughed/cried/came away a better person–no brainer!

The old \”laughed/cried/made me a better person\” endorsement is enough for me to read it!
