“I can never be all the people I want and live all the lives I want. I can never train myself in all the skills I want. And why do I want? I want to live and feel all the shades, tones and variations of mental and physical experience possible in my life.” Sylvia Plath
When this is the epigraph – yes. I’m in.
From the first sentence, we understand Nora Seed has decided to kill herself. The Midnight Library is where she goes in the liminal space between her life and her death. There she gets to “live and feel all the shades, tones and variations of mental and physical experience” she didn’t have.
What keeps people from living a life of intention? From taking chances?
This was an audio listen for book club for me and an excellent experience. I liked the book so much I bought the hard copy to share.
Fantastical. Philosophical. Slightly weird. 4.25 stars.

I completely agree w/ your review!
