Really it’s so life-y (Anne Lamott) when life does not stay on script. The romantic comedy genre fills the need in me for THINGS. TO. WORK. OUT. So although Nora maybe goes off script, the reader can trust the process and let it unfold in its rom-commy way.

I loved this take … Nora writes actual rom com scripts for a living and the one time she goes off script penning an angsty, personal tale it gets picked up by Hollywood, stars a mega-watt movie star, and is being filmed at her house.

If you’re in need of a little predictability or a fun escape, I highly recommend.

4 stars.
