I am here for whatever Laurie Frankel writes.
This time it’s about adoption and ambition.
An unconventional young woman, a big dream, a few complications along the way.
Author Laurie Frankel writes from the perspective of an actual adoptive mother. Some of the criticism of the book is that it doesn’t cover all the perspectives. True. It doesn’t. And what is told is a wacky tale of how a fictional family is made and how that can open our minds to the nature of families.
Full of warmth, love, good humor, and sage advice, this is a good feel good read.
5 stars.
Frankel’s This is How it Always Is deals with trans issues; her One Two Three deals with neurodivergent issues. I highly recommend both.
