my take: For a quick, page turning summer read – grab this and you will be transported (ha!) along the tracks of the commuter line in suburban London.
Growing up in a Chicago suburb, the commuter train was a part of life. I rarely took the train, but when I did I wondered about the lives of people along the tracks. Actually, I still do whenever I’m on a train in any city or country. It seems so intimate to ride through people’s backyards.
This is the premise of the book … with a few twists and turns. In some ways, I liked this better than Gone Girl as it is less dark and plays fewer tricks on the reader.

my verdict: Good psychological thriller stuff
Psychological thriller is not my favorite but if it's not as dark as Gone Girl I might give it a whirl!

Agreed on the Gone Girl comparison – and also this being a good beach read!
