What does it mean to be alive? To live? To have lived?
When Addie is faced with a marriage she doesn’t want, she makes a deal with darkness. It comes at the cost of something she didn’t realize she’d miss, need, require, to be alive, to really live.
I think I’ll not forget the historic scope and sweeping breadth of Addie’s invisible life.
And it’s richly added to my ponderings on the meaning of life.
4/5 stars.

LOVED this book. It’s an old concept, living forever, but I thought it was done with a fresh perspective. I grew to care about Addie.
