my take: This is an amazing book. I’m not a huge fan of post-apocalyptic fiction …. The Road was a bit much for me. Sooooo dark and heavy.
This is poetic, emotional, powerful, quiet and intense. The writing is beautiful. A celebration of life and nature in post-apocalyptic Colorado.
I read this on the beach in the Bahamas and I was tense & terrified as I read parts and sobbing as I read another section…climb in if you’re ready for the ride.
my source: Surfing Amazon.
my verdict: excellent
Anne couldn't put it down, so of course we all wanted it next. I think I was on the list after Vange and Jenn. But ha, I just got on Kindle from the library…my lucky day.

I devoured this one. To quote a Kevin Henkes line in his book Lilly's Purple Plastic Purse \”Wow, that is all I can say. Wow.\” I read it on an airplane and the guy beside me kept reading over my shoulder. Very irritating. And he'd read it before. Good thing I am married to him or I may have hit the call light!
